This burger has it all!

ree

What is a works burger and why is this one wicked? First works means all the toppings for a particular dish and it's wicked because of the secret sauce that's not really secret but definitely spicey.

The ultimate takeaway shop burger!

This is an Australian style works burger. You can also add pineapple, carrot or any topping and sauces you like or don't like. Be creative and make your own style work burger.

Recipe

Makes 2 Burgers

Ingredients

2 Burger Buns

2 Handfuls of Lettuce Sliced Finely

4 Slices Cheese (any preferred sliced cheese you like)

2 Rasher Maple Bacon Cut in Half

2 Eggs

4 Slices of Beetroot (Sliced Canned Beetroot)

8 Slices Tomato

1 Onion

Beef Patties

300 Grams Beef Mince (Ground Beef)

1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder

1/4 Teaspoon Cajun Seasoning

1/4 Teaspoon Chilli Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Cracked Pepper

1 Teaspoon Tomato Sauce

1 Teaspoons BBQ sauce

1/2 Teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Kicking Ketchup

2 Tablespoons Ketchup

1 Teaspoon Chilli Sauce

1 Teaspoon Sandwich Pickles

Directions

ree

Thinly slice the tomato, cucumber, onion, lettuce and cheese (or you can use the pre-sliced you prefer). Cut your bacon in half. Set all the ingredients aside.

ree

In a bowl, add your beef patty ingredients. Massage with your hands to combine.

ree

Make the patties into balls, then flatten on a flat surface. Set aside.

ree

Heat the oil on high heat.

ree

Add your onion, bacon and beef patties.

ree

Toss your onions occasionally. Turn your bacon after about 2 minutes until it's nice and brown. Cook your patties for 2-3 minutes each side. I cook mine twice on each side.

ree

Drain your onion and bacon while you get your eggs and bun ready.

ree

In your pan, when the patties are almost cooked, turn the heat down to medium-low and add your eggs.

ree

Before your patties and eggs are ready, cut your buns and toast them.

ree

When your patties are done and the eggs are half done, add bacon and onion on top of the patty.

ree

Add cheese on top to melt it.

ree

When the cheese has almost melted, flip your eggs. You want the egg yolk to still be runny. After about 30 seconds, place your egg on top of the cheese.

ree

In the meantime, assemble your burger. Butter your buns.

ree

On the bottom bun, add lettuce.

ree

Add tomato.

ree

Add cucumber.

ree

Add beetroot.

ree

Add your assembled patty.

ree

Spread your sauce over the egg.

ree

place your bun on top and Enjoy!
