Fresh homemade mint sauce, packed with flavor!
My Dad has made this mint sauce for as long as I can remember, and it tasted better than store-bought alternatives. Enjoy great flavors with little hassle!
This sauce is minty fresh.
I've always grown mint to make this sauce, since fresh mint isn’t hard to grow and is more flavorful. The ratio to vinegar and sugar is 1:1 You can add as much mint as you like. Great on lamb, roast beef and potatoes.
Recipe
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Brown Vinegar
Mint
Finely chop up your mint and add it in a pot.
Add brown vinegar and sugar into the pot as well.
On medium-high heat, bring your mint sauce to the boil, stirring constantly.
Once the sauce has boiled and the sugar has dissolved, take it off the heat and let it cool. Put your mint sauce into jars or bottles. Enjoy with anything you like!
